About Nicole

I started my own family law practice in Torrance in 2013.  The family law courts are often backlogged and unable to devote the proper time and attention each family deserves.  Due to the constraints of litigation, I counsel clients about the benefits of collaboration and mediation because these options are typically more cost-effective, less stressful, and less traumatic to the children.  Although litigation ultimately remains the option of last resort, it is important for families to meaningfully reflect on the approach they would like to take to reach resolution when discussing highly emotional topics like child/spousal support, property, and child custody.  Assembling a team of caring collaborative professionals trained to assist clients develop family-centered solutions is the first step to creating a future that honors the past.

I am committed to improving the lives of members of my community through my law practice.  I volunteer legal services as a pro-bono attorney for the Los Angeles County Bar Association Domestic Violence Project in the downtown Los Angeles Stanley Mosk Courthouse, providing one-on-one legal assistance to Project clients in need of a domestic violence restraining order by preparing necessary court pleadings and prepping clients for their Court hearings.  I also regularly teach civil litigation classes throughout the Los Angeles County Law Libraries to our local communities.
